Clarksville, Ark. --- The University of the Ozarks Theatre Department will present the children's play, "Wiley and The Hairy Man," at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Walton Fine Arts Center.
Dr. Pat Farmer will serve as the director and Professor Bruce Brown will serve as production designer and technical director in playwright Jack Stokes’ story for children and the young at heart. ?? ?"Wiley and The Hairy Man" is a country tale of courage and cunning set in the swamps of central Arkansas. The Hairy Man roams the countryside seeking to work his unhappiness on the people who live in the swamp. Wiley and his mother, using bravery and common sense to outsmart The Hairy Man, emerge triumphant. Colorful characters, fast-paced action, rhyming verses and choral chants add excitement to the play that will delight children of all ages. ??? The cast includes Libbie Okey as Wiley; Erin Thompson as Mammy; Sam Fincher as The Hairy Man; and Dustin Campbell, Doc Harper, Misti-Nicole Ponder, Brendan Shay and Amanda Kelley as the Chorus. The crew includes Doc Harper, Rana Peters, Sacha Fincher, April James, Sandy Short, Mellena Bullock, Chad Draper and Shelly Muston. ???
