Accreditation
Accredited institutions must maintain compliance with the standards established by the accrediting organization in regard to institutional operations, institutional mission and purpose, governance, and academic quality, for example. Accredited institutions must participate in periodic self-assessments and review by the accrediting group to be sure high quality is maintained over time.
University Accreditation
University of the Ozarks is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Education Program Accreditation
The Pat Walker Teacher Education Program at University of the Ozarks is accredited by Higher Learning Commission. This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs at the University of the Ozarks. However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.
