Cost of attendance is made up of two components, Direct Costs which represents a fixed amount set by the University and Indirect Costs which can be largely influenced by student behavior. University of the Ozarks Direct Costs are as follows:
2022-23 | Semester | Year |
Tuition (12-18 hours) | $12,475 | $24,950 |
Dining Option (Unlimited Meal Plan) | $2,279 | $4,558 |
Double Room (King or Smith) | $1,900 | $3,800 |
Learning Materials | $500 | $1,000 |
On Campus Direct Costs | $17,154 | $34,308 |
Tuition Cost $12,475 X 8 semesters = $99,800 / 120 credit hour = $831.66 cost per hour.
The Cost of Attendance is calculated to create the maximum amount of aid a student might need. Very few students will need the maximum amount of aid created within the indirect cost category. We will package all students at Direct Cost and work with you one-on-one for your indirect costs.
Estimating Cost
The University has created the Net Price Estimator as a way for you to gauge the impact of the various types of aid. The Net Price Estimator can be used at any time during the process, however, it is most accurate after step two as it requires the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) which is determined by filing the FAFSA.
