Clarksville, Ark. --- Stages Theatre for Youth will present "Seussical: The Musical" on Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18 on the University of the Ozarks campus.

Seussical: The Musical" src='data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20210%20140%22%3E%3C/svg%3E' data-src=Beloved Dr. Seuss characters sing and dance their way into your heart…and your imagination….in this fun-filled, colorful show featuring a cast of 40 young theatre artists ages 6 through 18.

The story centers around Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with a double challenge. Not only must he protect his tiny new friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him…and Horton never abandons his beliefs and responsibilities.

Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant, in a story that makes you laugh and cry.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, July 17th at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, July 18th at 3:00 pm in the Walton Fine Arts Center on the University of the Ozarks campus.  Tickets are $10 for Adults (ages 10 and over) and $8 for children ages 3 to 9.  Children under age 3 are admitted free if they will be sitting on the lap of an adult.
