Margo Duvall

Visiting Professor of Art

Margo Duvall

I’m Margo Duvall, and if you learn one thing about me, it’s that I love all things photography. I’ve worked as an educator, artist, and commercial photographer all over the country for over a decade. I love bringing my experience in the real world into the classroom with hands-on projects that give students the opportunities to build their confidence in image-making techniques. We experiment with photographing the people and places in our community and learn how to use our lighting studio to make professional photographs that compete in the job market.

My personal photographic projects explore ideas of memory and how the camera can shape and alter identity over time. I use many processes in my work including digital photographs, analog film, and mixed media installation-based pieces. I show work in galleries and am currently working on solo exhibitions for display in Arkansas and Kentucky. I received my BA (Studio Art) from Humboldt State University and my MFA (Photography) from San Jose State University.
