Clarksville, Ark.-The women's tennis team took down NCAA I University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff 5-2 on October 17 in Pine Bluff.
It is the first victory for the women over a NCAA I opponent since Ozarks joined the American Southwest Conference in 1996. In singles action, Lauren Jardieu defeated Stephanie Forte 6-1, 6-0. Rosemary Dedman defeated Erin Jameson 6-2, 6-3. Lea Rana and Lindsey Hanna won by default. The Lady Eagles won the doubles point 3-0.
On the men’s side, the Eagles lost 6-1. Mike Laws won his singles match 6-4, 6-4. Jack Barry and Mike Slider combined to win their doubles match 8-0.
Ozarks will begin the spring season in the Hendrix College Invitational February 13-14 in Conway.
