Clarksville, Ark.-The Louisiana College Wildcats (9-9, 8-8) gave the Eagles a 81-72 loss on Saturday afternoon in ASC play.
The Eagles (9-9, 7-8) were unable to overcome a 43-36 deficit at halftime and had a tough time scoring when it mattered most. Ozarks shot just 37 percent from the field in the second half while making only three three-pointers in the entire game. The Eagles trailed only 57-54 with 9:36 remaining in the contest before the Wildcats went on a decisive 15-4 run over a three-minute span to seal the win. Brent Johnson led the team with 25 points. Josh Joyner followed with 13 points and Habeeb Kareem added 10 points. Joyner had a team-best 8 rebounds. Ozarks will host Mississippi College on February 3 and Louisiana College on February 5. Saturday’s game against Louisiana College is designated as U of O’s Hall of Fame game.
