Clarksville, Ark.-Modesto, Cal. native Armando Vergara has earned American Southwest Conference offensive soccer Player of the Week for his three-game performance with the Eagles.
Vergara, a defender who graduated from Grace Davis High School in 1998, was named Offensive Player of the Week after totaling four goals and three assists in three Eagle wins. Vergara recorded ASC season-high totals for goals (4) and points (10) in a 8-1 win over University of Dallas on October 12. His ten-point total also set a new U of O and ASC single-match record while his four-goal accomplishment tied an ASC single-match record and set a U of O record. The Eagles are currently 15-0-1 overall and 8-0-1 in the conference and are coached by Modesto native Dave De Hart. Ozarks is an NCAA III member of the sixteen-team American Southwest Conference.
