Clarksville, Ark.-UT-Dallas scored with nine seconds remaining in the first half and then went on to seal the match with a goal in the 84th minute en route to a 2-0 American Southwest Conference win on Saturday against the Lady Eagles.

The game appeared to be headed for a 0-0 tie at half, but a penalty kick by Haley Renfro in the waning seconds made it 1-0. Ozarks (2-5-0, 0-1-0) had a tough time getting off a quality shot against a stingy Comets (3-2-2, 1-0-0) defense, but the Lady Eagles also put up a tough defensive fight to keep the score within striking distance. Ozarks goalkeeper Lori Langman came up with a big save in the 57th minute when she snagged a Leah Bowyer shot. However, Bowyer would connect on a late goal (84th minute) to put the game out of reach.

Langman finished with 10 saves.

Ozarks will host Mississippi College September 25 at 2:00 p.m. The match can be heard on the web at www.kxio.nu.

Game notes:
