Clarksville, Ark.--UT-Dallas ended Ozarks perfect home record with two victories over the Eagles in Saturday's American Southwest Conference baseball double-header.

UT-Dallas (13-14, 6-6) jacked three home runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the game’s momentum and take a 6-0 lead. Caleb Hilton crushed a homer in the bottom of the inning to give Ozarks (16-12, 5-7) one run and make the score 6-1. It was his sixth homer of the year. However, the Comets eventually would add three runs in the fifth to put the game out of reach. The Eagles loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh, but UT-Dallas’s starting pitcher Gordon Walters ended the game with a strikeout. Ozarks collected eight hits in the game with Hilton tallying three of those. Curt Dixon (4-2) received the loss after pitching two and one-third innings. Pitchers Trey Schurr and Troy Kiesling held the Eagles to two hits in route to a 7-1 win in Saturday’s second game. The Comets opened the first inning with three runs. Schurr then shut down Ozarks’ offense by limiting them to two hits through seven innings. The Comets displayed consistency in their offense production following the first inning by scoring one run in the fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth. Todd Koch gave Ozarks their lone score with a solo home run in the second inning. It was Koch’s sixth homer of the season. Bill Martin (1-2) received the loss. Previous to Saturday’s game, the Eagles were 13-0 at home. The Eagles venture into non-conference play when they travel to Russellville to face Arkansas Tech University on April 5.
