The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

UT-Dallas Sweeps Ozarks

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles ended their four-game series against UT-Dallas with a 9-3 loss and a 8-1 loss to the Lady Comets in American Southwest Conference action on Sunday.

In game one, the Lady Eagles (18-13, 9-11) faced an 8-0 deficit going into the bottom of the fifth before Andrea Dewy and Jamie Johnson each recorded an RBI to bring Ozarks to within 8-2. Ozarks would score once more in the bottom of the seventh on a Shannon Rainbolt RBI. UT-Dallas (16-10, 12-4) had 19 hits in the contest. Rainbolt, Kayla Reedy and Kara Batholomew each had two hits in the game. Amanda Luney (5-6) received the loss. The Lady Eagles would have trouble generating runs in the second game as Ozarks had only five hits in the contest. Ozarks’ lone run came in the bottom of the seventh when a Devon Bottoms double knocked in Jeanne Randall. UT-Dallas scored four in the top of the first to make it difficult for a Lady Eagles comeback. Andrea Dewey, Erica Newell, Randall, Bottoms and Bartholomew each had one hit apiece. Luney received the loss. Ozarks will travel to Marshall, Texas, to face East Texas Baptist University in a four-game series beginning on April 16 with a double-header at 1 p.m. The series continues on April 17 with a double-header beginning at 11 a.m. The Lady Tigers are the number-two ranked women’s softball team in NCAA III.
