Clarksville, Ark.-The UT-Dallas men pulled away in the second half as they scored twice after a 0-0 halftime to earn a 2-0 win over Ozarks Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Eagles played well in the first half holding the Comets scoreless despite allowing five corner kicks and six shots. The Comets scored within the first five minutes of the second half to take momentum. But Marcus Aldaba’s shot was blocked after he ripped it towards the goal. UT-Dallas would then put the match out of reach three minutes later on a goal off a corner kick.
UT-Comets held a 13-2 corner kicks advantage over the Eagles. Matt Mouer had seven saves for Ozarks.
Ozarks falls to 3-9-1 overall and 3-7-0 in the ASC. UT-Dallas improves to 10-4-0 overall and 9-1-0 in the ASC.
