Clarksville, Ark.-Three second half goals by the UT-Dallas women's soccer team was enough to put away Ozarks 4-0 in American Southwest Conference play at Clarksville.
UT-Dallas (5-1-0, 2-0-0) held just a 1-0 advantage at halftime, but exploded for three unanswered second half goals to put the match out of reach for Ozarks (0-7-0, 0-3-0). The Lady Comets scored in the 57th minute to increase their lead to 2-0. UT-Dallas then added a goal in the 82nd and 88th minutes to secure the win. All four goals were scored by different players. ????? The Lady Eagles held their own in the first half, recording four shots. However, Ozarks couldn’t muster any shots in the second half as a result of a stingy UT-Dallas defense. ????? Terah McGill, Amanda Bohon, Olivia Fisher and Amanda Alexander had Ozarks’ shots. ????? Jessica Falls had five saves in the match. ????? The men’s and women’s soccer matches that were scheduled with UT-Tyler on September 24 have been postponed until October 18 due to possible travel difficulties for the visitors as a result of Hurricane Rita. Ozarks will have travel to Sherman, Texas, to face Austin College on October 1 in ASC play.
