University of the Ozarks set to begin semester

Clarksville, Ark. ---University of the Ozarks officials are expected to welcome more than 250 new students to campus this week as part of the 2003 New Student Orientation, scheduled for August 21-24.

Registration for the Fall 2003 Semester will be held Aug. 26 and classes begin on Tuesday, Aug. 26. The New Student Orientation begins on Thursday, Aug. 21, with the annual President’s Picnic for new students and their families at the President’s Home. The New Student Matriculation Ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22, in Munger Chapel and a dinner will follow in the Seay Student Center. The weekend of events will also include numerous information sessions for new students and their parents to help them become oriented to university life. Other important dates for the Fall 2003 Semester include: last day to register, Sept. 2; Family Weekend, Oct. 10-11; Fall Break, Oct. 23-24; last day to drop a class, Nov. 4; Thanksgiving Holiday, Nov. 26-28; last day of regular classes, Dec. 12; and final exams, Dec. 15-19.
