Clarksville, Ark. -- The University of the Ozarks Music Department will present a faculty recital at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, in Munger Chapel.
The concert is open to the public and there is no charge for admission.
Associate professor of music and university organist Dr. Sharon L. Gorman will perform Dieterrich Buxtehude’s Praeludium in G Minor; adjunct professor and mezzo-soprano Ann Taddie will perform three selections from the song cycle La Maja Dolorosa; adjunct piano instructor Mary Lou Douglas will perform Frank Liszt’s Etude XI: Harmonies du soir; assistant professor of music and bass-baritone Dr. G. Mikael Lindström will perform works by Richard Wagner, Robert Schumann, Giacomo Puccini and Benjamin Britten; and vice president for academic affairs and tenor Dr. Daniel Taddie will perform with his wife, Ann Taddie, two selections from Jerome Kern’s Showboat. Gorman and Jeanine Myers will serve as accompanists for the recital.
