Clarksville, Ark. ---The University of the Ozarks will confer degrees upon its largest graduating class since 1991 during its 169th Commencement ceremonies at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10, on the campus mall.
The Class of 2003 is made up of 119 graduating seniors, the university’s largest since 147 graduated in 1991. The 2003 Commencement speaker will be Julio Echegoyen of Fayetteville. A native of El Salvador, Echegoyen is the International Finance Manager for Procter & Gamble’s Wal-Mart Global Customer Team. In his current position, he is responsible for the financial management of the Procter & Gamble business with Wal-Mart International, which encompasses nine countries around the world. He earned his bachelor’s and MBA degrees from John Brown University, where he was a Walton Scholar. Echegoyen is the brother of Jose and David Echegoyen, both candidates for graduation in the U of O Class of 2003. The day will begin with a Baccalaureate service at 9 a.m. in Munger Chapel.
