The University of the Ozarks’ Board of Trustees presented its annual faculty and staff awards during the 2023 Trustees Awards Banquet, held April 28 in the Rogers Conference Center.
Among the recipients for 2023 were (pictured, from left) Dr. Javier Taylor, Dr. Edward Ardeneaux, Monica Frizzell, Adrianna Giraldo and Dr. Brian Hardman
Hardman, professor of English, and Ardeneaux, associate professor of English, each received the Richard and Katherene Bagwell Outstanding Faculty Award.
Frizzell, the University registrar, was honored with the Alvin C. Broyles Outstanding Staff Award.
Giraldo, a public safety officer, received the Arnold G. Sims Outstanding Staff Award.
Taylor, assistant professor of mathematics, was presented the 2023 Dr. Rick and Sheree Niece President’s Above and Beyond Outstanding Service Award.
Several other faculty and staff members received service awards during the dinner, including NaLisa Brown, Doug Denne, Rich Dunsworth, Donny Frost, Lucas Hoiland and Dr. Befrika Murdianti for 10 years; Heather Dickerson, Lisa Gruben-Inness, Dr. Joel Hagaman and Greg Stone for 15 years; Monica Frizzell, Eddie Wood and Glenda Wood for 20 years; Susan Edens and Kimberly Spicer for 25 years; and Dawn Dvoracek for 30 years.
The trustees also honored several employees who announced their retirements for this year: Dvoracek, Dr. Greta Marlow, Karen Schluterman, Robert Wofford and Eddie Wood.
