Clarksville, Ark.-Former professional goalkeeper Trace Hollis has been named the assistant men's soccer coach, announced by assistant athletic director and head men's soccer coach Dave De Hart.

Hollis, 26, played six years professionally, including stints in the Major League Soccer (MLS) and in the "A" league as a goalkeeper. He also played three years for the world champion Sacramento Knights. Hollis served as assistant coach at Neosho (KS) Junior College during the 1998 season. "I’m excited to be a part of the men’s soccer team," said Hollis. "Coach De Hart has established a good soccer tradition here and I look forward to being a part of that." "Trace brings in a great deal of experience to our staff," said De Hart. "I have worked with Trace for many years and I believe he will bring an additional level of intensity and knowledge to our program." The Eagles were American Southwest Conference East Division champions last season with a school-best 18-3-1 record and were one win away from qualifying for the NCAA III tournament.
