Clarksville, Ark.-U of O placed three players on the American Southwest Conference All-East Division baseball team, which were selected by conference coaches and announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Seniors Shawn Adams, Chance Lawless and James Seymour represented Ozarks on the twelve-man squad. Adams also earned a spot on the All-ASC team, which consists of players from the East and West division. Adams, an outfielder from Lafayette, Louisiana, hit .374 with 18 RBI and had a team-high 21 stolen bases. His 21 stolen bases led the conference and his 43 hits led the team. Adams is a three-time All-ASC player. Lawless, a designated hitter from Rattan, Oklahoma, hit .312 with 25 RBI and recorded a team-best 13 doubles. This marks the third season Lawless has been an All-ASC player. Seymour, a first baseman from Natchitoches, Louisiana, led the team in batting (.420), RBI (31), and slugging (.605). He was named ASC Player of the Week in April and set a U of O modern day record tallying 10 RBI in a game against East Texas Baptist on April 5. Seymour is a two-time All-ASC player.
