Clarksville, Ark.-The Texas-Tyler women scored a pair of goals in each half to upend the Lady Eagles 4-1 in American Southwest Conference play Thursday.
The Patriots (9-5-0, 8-2-0 ASC) scored goals within a minute apart in the first half to hold a 2-0 lead at intermission. Ozarks (3-13-0, 2-9-0 ASC) narrowed the deficit to 2-1 in the 41st minute when freshman forward Alex Cannon netted her eighth goal of the season. But the Patriots would battle back and score back-to-back goals within a two-minute span. From there, the Texas-Tyler defense was able to hold Ozarks’ offense in check the rest of the match.
Ozarks will host Concordia University Texas this Saturday in their next ASC match.
