Tyler, Texas-The Texas-Tyler men built a 48-26 halftime lead en route to a 95-63 win over the Eagles Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
Texas-Tyler (15-6, 10-5 ASC) shot 58 percent from the field in the first half and hit six three-pointers to maintain a comfortable halftime margin. The Patriots held a double-digit advantage eight minutes into the game and led by as many as 16 points with six minutes left in the half.
Ozarks (6-15, 3-12 ASC) never pulled within single digits in the second half and got the deficit under 25 points only four times during the final twenty minutes. The Patriots hit five more shots from behind the arc in the second half.
Marcus Bobb and Josh Clark each had 12 points for Ozarks.
Ozarks will host Louisiana College February 7 and Mississippi College February 9. The Mississippi College game has been designated as “Senior Day”.
