Clarksville, Ark.-Texas Lutheran built a 1-0 lead in the first half and then added two more goals in the second half to hand Ozarks a 3-1 setback Saturday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.
The Lady Bulldogs (2-8-0, 3-4-0 ASC) scored in the 7th minute to open with an early 1-0 advantage. Texas Lutheran scored another goal in the 54th minute, but freshman Lauren Gilby scored her first collegiate goal to get Ozarks (3-10-0, 2-6-0 ASC) within 2-1. However, the Lady Bulldogs secured the match with a goal in the 75th minute.
Ozarks generated seven shots in the match and totaled four corner kicks. Alex Cannon had four shots for Ozarks.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Texas next week to face LeTourneau University October 14 and East Texas Baptist University October 15.
