Texas Lutheran Women Extend First Half Lead

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles allowed two goals in the first half and then gave up three more in the second half as Texas Lutheran University recorded a 5-0 victory Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Texas Lutheran (5-7-0, 3-4-0 ASC) scored in the 3rd and 36th minutes to hold a 2-0 halftime advantage. The Lady Bulldogs posted 20 shots in the first half and did not allow a single shot through the first 49 minutes of play. In the second half, Texas Lutheran scored in the 50th minute to extend their advantage to 3-0. Two more goals followed for the Lady Bulldogs. Adrian Rogers had three shots in the second half, but couldn’t get one past the goalkeeper.

Ozarks goalkeeper Morgan O’Neil had 15 saves.

Ozarks falls to 0-12-1 overall and 0-7-1 in the conference play.

Ozarks will host LeTourneau University October 14 and East Texas Baptist University October 16.
