Clarksville, Ark.- The women's tennis team qualified for the American Southwest Conference championship tournament after earning a 6-3 win over UT-Dallas on April 15.
<#IMAGE:1#>The Lady Eagles (3-8, 2-3) advance to post-season play for only the second time in the past five years. The Lady Eagles finished in fourth place in the ASC East Division behind UT-Tyler (12-6, 4-0), Mississippi College (7-6, 4-1) and LeTourneau (12-13, 3-1). UT-Tyler is not eligible for post-season play until next season, thus Ozarks will enter the tournament in the number 3 spot. The Lady Eagles will play Howard Payne University on April 26 at 2:00 p.n. in Abilene, Texas, on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University. HSU, winner of the ASC West Division, will host the championship tournament April 26-28. Against UT-Dallas, Olivia Fisher played the number one singles match and defeated her opponent 7-6 (7-4), 6-3. Fisher evens her singles record to 5-5. Lea Rana defeated Susan Heston 6-1, 6-2 in singles play. Brittany Hein earned a 6-1, 6-1 singles win.
