Clarksville, Ark. --- The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra will perform the child-friendly concert Symphony Safari at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 5, in the University of the Ozarks' Walton Fine Arts Center.
Tickets for the concert are $5 each and can be purchased on-line at www.ozarks.edu/wais or at the box office before the concert. No tickets are required for children 3-and-under.
Symphony Safari is one of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s most popular children’s events. This fun-filled concert is a great way to introduce young family members to the symphony and set them off on the road toward a life-long love of and appreciation for classical music. Refreshments will be available after the concert, as well as free music-themed goodie bags for all the children. There will also be an "instrument petting zoo," in the lobby to give children a chance to touch and explore real symphony instruments and to meet the musicians who play them.
Now in its 46th season, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra has delighted audiences world-wide with concerts and touring events. The symphony is comprised of the state’s most sought after professional musicians and is heard by more than 250,000 Arkansans each year.
