Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O men's basketball team was defeated by American Southwest Conference West division opponent Sul Ross State on Saturday in Alpine, Texas.
The Eagles (3-5, 0-0) suffered a 89-75 loss to the Lobos (5-4, 1-0). Ozarks trailed just 42-38 at halftime, but were outscored 47-37 in the second half. Ten different players scored for the Eagles, with sophomore guard Josh Joyner leading the charge with 19 points and 13 rebounds. It was Joyner’s second double-double of the season. David Hamilton followed Joyner with 12 points. Reggie Brasfield had a team-best 8 asssists. Ozarks returns to Clarksville for a five-game home stand starting Thursday with a double-header against Schreiner and continuing with a Saturday afternoon twinbill against Texas Lutheran.
