Clarksville, Ark.-After a scoreless first half, the University of the Ozarks women's soccer team gave up three second half goals against Mary Hardin-Baylor, ending the contest with a 3-0 loss Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.
Ozarks (2-8-0, 1-4-0 ASC) defense held the Lady Crusaders (2-6-1, 2-3-0 ASC) to no goals through the first 45 minutes of play. The Lady Crusaders came out storming in the second half, scoring three consecutive goals to secure the win. The Lady Crusaders took a 1-0 advantage within ten minutes of the second half when Briana Alston scored with a loose ball that was kicked past the goalie. Mary Hardin-Baylor would score two more times behind a 20-3 shots advantage. Lacey Mainer had a shot on goal from a corner kick but it was deflected. Alex Cannon had a team best two shots. Ozarks goalkeeper Morgan O’Neil had 10 saves.
Ozarks will play Howard Payne University tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
