Strong Second Half Propels Lady Crusaders

Clarksville, Ark.-After trailing 1-0 at halftime, the University of the Ozarks women's soccer team gave up four second half goals against Mary Hardin-Baylor, ending the contest with a 5-1 loss on Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.

<#IMAGE:1#>The Lady Crusaders (6-7-0, 4-4-0) took a 1-0 advantage when Mickie Arrendondo scored in the 17th minute. That would be the only scoring of the first half. The Lady Crusaders came out storming in the second half, scoring four consecutive goals within a 16-minute span to secure the win. Ozarks (5-7-2, 2-6-0) scored in the 81st minute on a Kristyn Shinn goal. Katie Adan received the assist. Mary Hardin-Baylor held a 21-12 shots advantage. Savannah Munger had a team-best 3 shots. Ozarks goalkeeper Olivia Fisher had 12 saves. Ozarks will host Howard Payne University tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
