Spruiell Accounts For Three Goals In Win

Clarksville, Ark.-Freshman forward Laura Spruiell scored three goals to help the University of the Ozarks women's soccer team to a 5-2 win over Concordia-Austin on Saturday in Austin, Texas.

The American Southwest Conference match saw Ozarks (4-1-2, 1-1-0) take 15 shots against the home team. Sprueill recorded the match’s first goal in the 32nd minute on a pass from Heather Dryden. Dryden then scored one of her own in the 44th minute to give Ozarks a 2-0 lead at halftime.<#IMAGE:1#> Spruiell opened up the second half with a goal in the 55th minute on an assist from Dryden. Emma Cantele followed with a score in the 57th minute. Spruiell’s final goal came in the 72nd minute on an assist again from Dryden. Spruiell has 7 goals on the season, with the 4 others coming against Mid-America University on September 4. Goalkeeper Olivia Fisher had 2 saves. The Lady Eagles will host UT-Dallas on Saturday in ASC play and then face Austin College on Sunday in non-conference action.
