Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles (6-5, 0-0) rebounded from Friday's 7-5 loss by taking an 8-6 win in both games on Saturday against Sul Ross State University.

In game one of Saturday’s double-header, the Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win. David Smith’s triple knocked in two runs to break the 6-6 tie, propelling Ozarks to the victory. Junior pitcher Kyle Hudson then got three straight outs to end the game and received his second win of the season. Justin Brown supplied the offense with two homers in the contest. Brown, Brett Hays and Jimmy Pannell each had two hits in the game. Hudson (2-0) pitched two innings and struck out four. In the second game of the double-header, Ozarks held a 7-1 lead after six innings of play and then had to fight off a pesky Sul Ross Sate (1-10) team that rallied to within two runs. The Lobos had the tying run on deck, but Hudson forced a fly out and a ground out to secure the win. It was Hudson’s third save of the season. Caleb Hilton led Ozarks’ offense with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate. He hit two homers and scored four runs in the win. Curt Dixon (2-2) received the win after pitching five innings and striking out five. He gave up just one earned run. The Eagles will host Howard Payne University in a three-game series this week beginning on Friday. Friday’s contest will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday’s double-header will start at 12:00 p.m.
