Clarksville, Ark.-Ryan Skelly's early penalty kick proved to be the game-winner as the University of the Ozarks men's soccer team defeated LeTourneau University 1-0 Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.

<#IMAGE:1#>Ozarks improves to 12-5-1 overall and 9-3-0 in ASC play, while LeTourneau drops to 11-5-2 overall and 6-5-1 in the ASC. Ozarks will host East Texas Baptist University tomorrow in their final ASC regular season match. The Eagles have already clinched a spot in the ASC playoffs and could host the tournament with a win tomorrow and a loss by Schreiner. Tomorrow’s match is designated as “Senior Day” as seniors Chris Estep, Jared Gordon and Ryan Skelly will be honored prior to the men’s match. Skelly scored in the 4th minute to secure a hard-fought victory in the midst of temperatures hovering in the upper-40’s. It was Skelly’s second game-winning goal of the season, and he remains a perfect 2-of-2 in PK attempts this season. He increases his season goal total to 6 and his career goal total to 26. Ozarks goalkeeper Brian Sarber kept the match scoreless thanks to numerous saves, including a diving save in the 65th minute. Ozarks, too, had their chances to score, but LeTourneau keeper Willie Cloyd gave a nice effort to keep the match tight for its entirety. The Eagles recorded 10 shots on goal. Sarber finished with 7 saves while Cloyd recorded 9. Ozarks out shot the visitors 20-11. Darren Clark had a team-best 5 shots.
