Clarksville, Ark.-Simpson College scratched across the game-winning run in the top of the tenth and then induced a double play in the bottom half of the inning to pick up a 4-3 win over the Eagles at the Ozarks Classic Sunday.
The Storm (2-1) put pressure on Ozarks (7-3) as it led off the top of the tenth with back-to-back singles. A sacrifice bunt advanced both runners a base and Ozarks then intentionally walked Tyler Craig to load the bases. With one out, Jake Esdorh delivered a sacrifice RBI fly out that proved to be the game-winning run. The Eagles opened the bottom half of the inning with a single, but Simpson forced a fly out and then induced a double play ball to end the game.
