Clarksville, Ark.-Shaun Wiseman has been named the new Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at the University of the Ozarks, it was announced by Athletics Director Jimmy Clark Thursday.

Wiseman, a native of Rogers, Ark., was the assistant women’s coach at NCAA Division II Arkansas Tech University from 2005-2007 where he helped with all aspects of the Golden Suns Tennis program.

“Shaun was enthusiastic about the position during the entire interview process,” said Clark. “He has experience at the collegiate level and his in-state ties will be a plus for recruiting. He has the type of personality that can relate to student-athletes. He’ll be ready to go. It is a good hire for us.”

Wiseman helped with the development of the junior tennis program in the River Valley community.

He is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry.

He graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music.

Wiseman and his wife, Alicia, were married in April.
