Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore defender Monica Seiler and freshman forward Alex Cannon were named American Southwest All-Conference, it was announced on Wednesday after a vote of the league?s head coaches.
Seiler, from Rogers, made the All-ASC Honorable Mention Team after starting in 17 matches. The 5-foot-8 Seiler spearheaded Ozarks defense all season in the back as a defensive specialist.
Cannon, from Chattanooga, Tenn., was named to the All-ASC Third Team. The 5-foot-7 Cannon was among the most productive players in the ASC as a freshman. She ranked sixth in the ASC in shots (68) and eighth in shots per game (3.58). She led the team in goals (9), points (19) and game-winning goals (2). She opened her college career with three goals against Central Baptist College. She later had a two-goal performance against Louisiana College.
