Sarber Leads Team To Amateur Title

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks goalkeeper Brian Sarber helped the North Texas Select men's soccer team win the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) Region III Select Team Tournament held in Dallas, Texas, from June 9-11.

Sarber, a 6-3, 215-pound native of Allen, Texas, was the starting keeper during the four-game tournament for the amateur team that will advance to the national finals held next January in Carson, California. Sarber earned All-ASC second team honors as a freshman in 2005 for Ozarks. He established a new school record in goals against average (.82) while ranking 13th in NCAA III and leading the ASC in that category. He finished the season tops in the conference in saves percentage (.874) and ranked second in shutouts (6.0). He collected 97 saves during the year and earned a spot on the ASC All-Tournament team. <#IMAGE:1#>
