Clarksville, Ark.-Junior forward Guido Salas scored a pair of first half goals to pace Ozarks to a 2-0 win over McMurry University Friday in American Southwest Conference play.

The Eagles (3-4-0, 2-1-0 ASC) got things going in the 35th minute behind Salas’ first goal. Salas scored off an assist from Josh Duncan. Ozarks continued to attack the McMurry (0-8-0, 0-3-0 ASC) defense and recorded four shots over the next nine minutes. Scott Janders had a header that went wide and Cole DeVoss and Tanner Holman each took shots that were stopped by McMurry goalkeeper Matt Mouer. However, the Eagles’ fourth shot connected as Salas headed one in on a cross from Holman. McMurry had six shots in the second half, but Neil Thompson stopped three of those to keep the shutout intact.

Ozarks totaled 14 shots, with Janders tallying three. Salas, Holman and Francisco Garza had two shots apiece.

Ozarks will face Hardin-Simmons University tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
