Clarksville, Ark.-Freshman center Sabrina Goddard posted a double-double to push Ozarks past Sul Ross State 66-51 in American Southwest Conference play Saturday afternoon at Mabee Gymnasium.

The Lady Eagles (3-5, 1-3) controlled the game from the outset and extended their lead to 25-14 on an Emma Cantele jumper with 7:15 left in the first half. Ozarks then outscored Sul Ross State (0-7, 0-5) 12-7 the rest of the half to hold a 37-21 halftime lead. Ashley Teague helped the cause with back-to-back three-pointers to put the lead at 33-17 with less than five minutes left in the half. Ozarks shot 51 percent from the floor, including 45 percent from three-point range, in the first twenty.

Sul Ross State could do little to slow down Goddard in the second half as she scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Her layup at the 18:07 mark of the second half pushed Ozarks lead to 42-23. Sul Ross cut it to 11 points on three occasions in the second half, but Ozarks would answer on each ensuing possession.

Goddard went 7-of-12 from the field. Lacey Phillips had 12 points.

Ozarks will travel to Conway to play Hendrix College December 13.
