Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore center Sabrina Goddard was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Women's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by ASC Media Relations Director Greg Weghorst.

The 6-1 native of Stroud, Okla., scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots in a 77-73 overtime win against McMurry University December 18. Goddard, who leads the conference in scoring (19.2) and blocked shots (1.9), hit the game-tying bucket with 18 seconds left to force overtime then notched seven points in the bonus period to knock off the defending West Division champions. She also had one steal, went 5-for-6 from the free throw line and shot 57 percent from the floor to give the Lady Eagles to their first ASC victory since January 10, 2009.

Goddard has posted three double-doubles this season, including a 27-point, 20-rebound effort against Hendrix College November 24. She ranks fifth in the ASC in rebounding (9.4) and free throw shooting (82%).

Goddard is a graduate of Stroud High School where she was named an All-State Alternate, All-Region and All-Conference her senior season.

Ozarks will host University of Dallas January 2 at 2:00 p.m.
