Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior midfielder Ryan Skelly was named to the d3kicks.com all-central region second team, announced by d3kicks.com editor Elliot Spruell.
<#IMAGE:1#>Skelly, a 5-7, 145-pound native of Plano, Texas, finished tenth in the American Southwest Conference in points (22) and fourth in assists (8). He started in all 21 matches for Ozarks and ended the season ranked second on the team in goals (7), shots (52) and points. His 8 assists were a team best. He had two game-winning goals, including a penalty kick against LeTourneau University to propel Ozarks to a 1-0 victory. He finishes his career at Ozarks ranked fifth in career goals (27), assists (19), and shots (188) and sixth in points (73) . He was one of only four players from the ASC to earn a spot on either the first or second team. Skelly earned All-ASC first team honors this season, and was an All-ASC third team honoree in 2005. He helped the Eagles (14-6-1) earn their seventh consecutive playoff bid in 2006. At 10-3-0 in ASC play, it was the most conference wins in the program’s 11-year history.
