Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman Ryan Holt has earned his fourth American Southwest Conference Male Runner of the Week award, the ASC office announced Monday.
Holt has now won the award in all four of his races this season. The 6-foot, 150-pound Belfast, Ireland, native won his second individual title of the year at the Arkansas D-III Championships October 23. Holt posted a 21:27.90 in the 4.1-mile race, finishing more than one minute ahead of runner-up Jeffrey Scott from Hendrix College. Holt has been the team’s top finisher in each race this season.
He was previously named Runner of the Week September 16, September 30 and October 14.
Holt is among the favorites to win the men’s individual title at the ASC Championship this weekend in Abilene, Texas. Hosted by Hardin-Simmons University, the conference championships are set to run Saturday, November 2 at Sherrod Park. The men’s 8K event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the women’s 6K race is scheduled for a 9:15 a.m. start.
