Russellville Artist Featured in Stephens Gallery

Clarksville, Ark. --- Russellville artist Lee Rogers' drawings and paintings will be on display at University of the Ozarks throughout October as part of the university's Artist of the Month series.

Work by Lee Rogers" src='data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=%22http://www.w3.org/2000/svg%22%20viewBox=%220%200%20210%20140%22%3E%3C/svg%3E' data-src=Rogers, who earned a bachelor’s degree in art design from Arkansas Tech University, worked for many years in the field of art, photography, cinematography and advertising. He has also raised Brangus cattle and Thoroughbred horses, hobbies that have influenced much of his Western-style drawings and paintings.

Rogers has been the guest artist at Ducks Unlimited and Quail Unlimited banquets in several states and his art has been published on the cover of Quail Unlimited and in several cattle magazines. He has won awards at the Trail of Tears Art Show in Oklahoma as well as the Indian Art Show in Kansas.

There will be a reception to meet the artist at 6 p.m., Oct. 9, in the Stephens Gallery, located in the university’s Walton Fine Arts Center. The exhibit will run from Oct. 1-28 in the Stephens Gallery.
