Friday night means high school football games all around the region. This Friday, Oct. 18, one local football game will be broadcast live by University of the Ozarks' student-run television station, KUOZ TV-6.

When the unbeaten Lamar Warriors take on the undefeated Charleston Tigers, TV-6 plans to capture every suspenseful minute of the Class 3A contest.

Susan Edens, director of broadcasting, said offering her students’ expertise to local athletic programs is a great show of support for local high schools. It also represents valuable training experience for those students looking to enter careers in media production.

"The KUOZ 6 multiple-camera live broadcast and recording is being produced and engineered by eight Ozarks students," Edens said. "We are experimenting with some technology this week that will hopefully allow us to have a live-streamed and simulcast television event from a remote location."

The live broadcast can be seen on KUOZ Channel 6 at 7 p.m. Friday night or by livestream online at: www.ustream.tv/channel/kuoz.
