Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore forward Ron Hogsett was named American Southwest Conference East Division Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Eagles' two road matches over the weekend.
Hogsett, a 5-8, 150-pound native of McKinney, Texas, had his best two-game performance of the season, recording a pair of game-winning goals, a hat trick and 8 points to help move the Eagles into third-place in the ASC East Division while posting a 2-0-0 record over the weekend. Hogsett, a sophomore forward, opened with three goals against East Texas Baptist on October 3, the third time in his career he has netted at least three goals in a match. Hogsett scored one goal in the 2-0 win at LeTourneau on October 4. Hogsett leads the team in goals (6) and points (14) and now has 19 career goals and 45 career points. Hogsett was named the ASC East Division Offensive Freshman of the Year last season and earned a spot on the ASC All-East Division First Team after leading the conference in points (31) and finishing second in goals (13). He is a 2002 graduate of McKinney High School.
