Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles overcame a 1-0 deficit to upend Schreiner University 2-1 in American Southwest Conference play Saturday in Kerrville, Texas.
Schreiner (1-9-2, 1-6-2) held a 1-0 lead after scoring in the 49th minute, but Ozarks (10-2-3, 5-2-2) fought back to tie the match when Shaun Renfro netted a goal in the 67th minute. Jason Owens received the assist. From there the Eagles held the momentum and freshman Guido Salas came through with the game-winner in the 81st minute. Renfro got the assist. It was Salas’ second game-winning goal of the season. Renfro now has four goals this season and Salas has five. Dylan Evans had four of the team’s 10 shots.
