Clarksville, Ark.-Junior midfielder Shaun Renfro scored a pair of second half goals as the Eagles notched a 4-1 American Southwest Conference win over Concordia University Texas in Austin Thursday.
Ozarks (13-2-3, 8-2-2) scored in the 18th minute when Renfro connected with Ryan Cooper on a corner kick. It was Cooper’s fifth goal of the season. Concordia (3-14-0, 2-10-0) would answer with a score in the 40th minute to keep the match tied at halftime. The Eagles then dominated the final 45 minutes of the match scoring three goals. Renfro scored an unassisted goal in the 50th minute. He wasn’t finished though as he scored in the 86th minute on a pass from Matt Engelman. Renfro now has six goals this season. Wilson Jones followed with a goal two minutes later on an assist from Anthony Santoro.
Ozarks took 14 shots in the match.
Ozarks will take on UT-Tyler in Tyler, Texas, November 1 at 3:00 p.m.
