Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks baseball player Mitchell Powers was named to the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League All-Star game, the ABCCL commissioner announced.
The game will be played Monday, August 1 at 3:00 pm on the campus of Kean University.
Powers, who played in the middle infield for the Toms River Hurricanes, helped his team to the league championship game over the weekend. During the season, the North Little Rock, Ark. native produced four three-hit games while totaling more than ten multiple-hit games. Through late July, Powers had a .333 batting average with seven doubles and 15 RBI. He led the team in runs (28), and ranked third in batting and hits (34). Powers batted third in the lineup the entire season.
