Clarksville, Ark.-The UT-Tyler baseball team remains undefeated after capturing a pair of wins over the University of the Ozarks on Saturday at Lonnie R. Qualls Field in American Southwest Conference play.

<#IMAGE:1#>UT-Tyler (26-0, 9-0) used a five-run second and a seven-run fourth to earn a 16-4 win over the Eagles (14-15, 3-6) in game one of Saturday’s double-header. The Eagles scored a pair of runs in the fifth and seventh innings. In the fifth, Logan Kizer and David Smith each had an RBI, and Smith picked up two more RBI when he doubled in John Glenn and David Isom in the seventh. Surprisingly, the Patriots only out hit the Eagles 12-11. Glenn, Smith and Andrew Teaster each collected two hits. Smith finished with 3 RBI. Todd Koch (2-5) received the loss after pitching three innings. Bill Smith pitched the final four innings and struck out four. UT-Tyler scored five runs in the top of the first to pace the Patriots in a 14-3 win in game two. They added two more on a two-run homer in the third. Glenn hit a solo shot, his second of the season, to make it 7-1 at the end of the third. In the fourth, the Eagles scored twice on three hits to cut it to 8-3. Glenn and Smith each collected RBI in the fourth, but that would be all the scoring for Ozarks. Robby Finnell (3-2) received the loss. He went four innings and struck out two. John Scheuring pitched two innings of relief and struck out five. UT-Tyler recorded 13 hits, while the Eagles had 11. Four different Eagles had two hits. Glenn had 2 RBI. The Eagles will travel to Claremore, Okla., to face Rogers State University on Monday.
