Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O men?s and women?s tennis teams played in the American Southwest Conference individual tournament over the weekend in Belton, Texas.
On the men’s side, Todd Turner won the men’s flight 1 singles consolation with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Will Thomas. Bishop Bass advanced to the finals of flight 2, but dropped the match (6-4, 1-6, 2-6) to Ryan Spencer. Corey Dillard advanced to the quarterfinals of his flight after posting a 6-1, 6-2 win. Michael Skimbo won 6-0, 6-1 in flight 4. Greg Knaggs grabbed a 7-6, 6-4 win in flight 5. Scott Eibes posted a 6-2, 6-3 win in flight 6. Tyler Keel (6-3,6-2) and Bryant Ford (6-1,6-2) each won in flight 7. Alix Tiegs posted a 6-2, 6-4 win in flight 8. Matthew Harrison won in the flight 9 consolation with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. In doubles, Skimbo and Eibes had an 8-0 win in the quarterfinals of flight 3.
On the women’s side, Macie Kelley posted a 2-6; 7-5; 10-7 win in flight 4. LeAnan White and Mollie Wilkinson teamed up for a 8-3 win in flight 3.

The Lady Eagles will host Hendrix College September 16 to wrap up the fall season. The Eagles will host Hendrix College September 24 and then travel to San Antonio to play in the ITA regionals.
