Clarksville, Ark.-Ozarks splits in tournament.
In a “Battle of the Ozarks” on Friday, the Lady Eagles were defeated by College of the Ozarks 82-74. U of O fell behind 39-27 at intermission on cold first-half shooting, hitting only 10 of 32 of their field goal attempts. The Lady Eagles shot better in the second half, but were still unable to overcome the Lady Bobcats. Christie Shuffield scored 18 points on 8 of 11 shooting, followed by Mandy Thomas with 14 and Jenna Corbell with 10. Thomas grabbed a team high seven rebounds. In the Lady Eagles game on Saturday, U of O started the game trailing by as much as ten points but tied the game at 13-13 on a Jacqueline Taylor three-pointer. The Lady Eagles eventually took the lead for good and pulled out a 54-43 win. Jenna Corbell scored 12 points and had ten rebounds. Shuffield had ten points.
