Ozarks SAAC Helps Raise Funds For Girls Club

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Student Life Office co-sponsored the Faculty/Staff Homecoming King and Queen fund-raiser as part of the 2008 Homecoming Week.

SAAC also sponsored “Make A Change In 14 Days” during the final four home basketball games and collected $333. A total of $764 went to the Johnson County Girls Club from the two events.

Those who took part in the check presentation ceremony in Mabee Gym on Feb. 14 included (holding check, from left) Bethany Taylor, Hailey Hardgrave and Mackenzie Kimbriel, all of the Johnson County Girls Club; (back row, from left) U of O students Jason Caskey and Lea Rana representing SAAC; Johnson County Girls Club President Rusty Hardgrave; Elizabeth Caroscio (queen); and Dr. Bill Doria (king). More than 600 girls have participated in Girls Club activities this year, according to Hardgrave.
